It’s official! We will receive the EXIST Business Start-up Grant (EXIST-Gründerstipendium) for academic entrepreneurs!

The EXIST Business Start-up Grant supports students, graduates and scientists from universities and research institutes who want to turn their business idea into a business plan. The start-up projects should be innovative technology or knowledge based projects with significant unique features and good commercial prospects of success.

The grant is a support programme of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) and is co-financed by the European Social Fund. It comes in form of a one-year scholarship as subsistence money. This allows us to work full-time on the implementation, market research, and sales of our product.

Eyezag is working on a webcam-eyetracking solution for massive parallel online eyetracking studies without the need for special hardware or tedious lab sessions.

We are more than happy for this opportunity and would like to thank all the people who gave us input on our idea. Especially we would like to thank Dr. Rolf Blattner who helped us with the grant application, as well as Prof. Rainer Stiefelhagen who supervised our academic work in the last years and will provide us with office space.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Lao Tse
